Braces, done the right way
Braces aren’t just for kids anymore — and they’re not one-size-fits-all, either. At Lane Orthodontics, Dr. Lane uses the fully customized KLOwen bracket system to design a treatment plan built entirely around your smile, whether you’re 12 or 52. No shortcuts, no guesswork, no assembly-line orthodontics. KLOwen is one of the orthodontic treatments we plan from a digital scan in Castle Rock.

What are KLOwen braces?
Metal and precision, working together.
Braces use small brackets bonded to each tooth, connected by a wire that gently guides teeth into their ideal position. They correct crowding, gaps, bite issues, and jaw alignment concerns — and they remain one of the most reliable, predictable ways to move teeth, at any age.
Fully Custom, Not Off-the-Shelf
Every KLOwen bracket is built to fit your teeth specifically — not adjusted to fit a standard one. That means more precise movement from day one.
Fewer Adjustments, Faster Progress
Because your bracket system is custom-fit from the start, there’s less wire-bending and repositioning along the way — often meaning shorter, less frequent visits.
Low-Profile Comfort
Modern KLOwen brackets are smaller and smoother than traditional metal, so they’re more comfortable in your mouth from the very first day.
Built for Complex Cases
Braces give Dr. Lane the most precise control over tooth and jaw movement — ideal for significant crowding, bite correction, or cases that need more than Angel Aligner can offer.
Why we offer KLOwen braces at Lane Orthodontics
Because a generic bracket doesn’t move a specific smile.
Dr. Lane is the only orthodontist in Castle Rock using the fully custom KLOwen system. Instead of adjusting a standardized bracket to fit your teeth, KLOwen brackets are built to fit your teeth from the start — which means more precise tooth movement, fewer wire bends and emergency visits, and often a faster path to your final result.
Whether you’re an adult who’s finally ready to fix a smile you’ve lived with for years, a teen juggling school and sports, or a parent bringing your child in for their first phase of treatment, the same standard applies: a plan designed specifically for you, not pulled off a shelf.
At Lane Orthodontics, we choose KLOwen braces because:
- Every bracket is custom to your smile, not a stock part
- Digital scans replace messy impressions
- Treatment is personally designed and overseen by Dr. Lane
- Low-profile brackets that are more comfortable than traditional metal

What to expect
Step 1
Complimentary Consultation & Digital Scan
We start with a relaxed visit and a set of digital scans — no goopy impressions. This gives Dr. Lane a clear, detailed picture of your teeth and bite so your plan is built on real data, not estimates.
Step 2
Your Custom Treatment Plan
Every case is different, so every plan is designed from scratch around your specific goals, whether that’s fixing crowding, closing gaps, or correcting a bite. Dr. Lane walks you through the full plan before treatment ever begins.
Step 3
Braces Are Placed
Your custom KLOwen brackets and wires are placed with care and precision. Because the brackets are built for your teeth specifically, this step tends to be faster and more comfortable than with standard braces.
Step 4
Regular Adjustments
You’ll come in every few weeks for quick check-ins and adjustments. Because your bracket system is already custom-fit, these visits are typically shorter and less frequent than with conventional braces.
Step 5
Braces Off, Retainer On
Once treatment is complete, we remove your braces, take a final scan, and create a custom retainer to protect your results for the long run.
Braces FAQs
Are braces only for kids and teens?
Not at all. Braces work at any age — plenty of our patients are adults getting the smile they’ve wanted for years. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, age isn’t a barrier to treatment.
How long does braces treatment take?
Every case is different, but most patients complete treatment in 12 to 24 months. Dr. Lane will give you a personalized timeline at your consultation based on your specific goals.
Are KLOwen braces more comfortable than traditional braces?
Yes — the low-profile, fully custom brackets are smaller and smoother than standard braces, and because they’re built to fit your teeth specifically, there’s typically less irritation and fewer adjustments needed.
Will I need to change my diet with braces?
Some adjustments are helpful — avoiding very sticky, hard, or chewy foods protects your brackets and wires. Dr. Lane will walk you through the specifics at your first appointment.
What happens if a bracket or wire breaks?
Just call our office. Breakages are less common with the custom KLOwen system, but if something happens, we’ll get you in quickly to fix it and keep your treatment on track.
Is it too late to get braces as an adult?
No — adult orthodontics is more common than ever. Braces can correct crowding, bite issues, and shifting that happens over time, no matter when you start.
